ESCAPOLOGY BJJ UNIFORM POLICY

At Escapology BJJ, we believe that a great training environment is built on mutual respect and safety. Our uniform policy helps us create and maintain a space where everyone can focus on their growth.

By following these guidelines along with our Code Of Conduct, we ensure the academy remains a professional, clean, and supportive community where you can train hard and improve every day. Here is the uniform policy:

GI UNIFORM POLICY

  1. White Gis Only.
  2. Apparel/Equipment Must Be Free From Discriminatory, Derogatory, Overtly Suggestive Or Abusive Language/Imagery.
  3. Gis With Other Teams’ Patches Cannot Be Worn In Regular Classes.
  4. Equipment Should Be In Good Repair: Gis Must Be Clean And Free Of Rips, Stains, And Smell.
  5. Rashguards Are Suggested Under Gis, But Are Not Required.
  6. Gis And Belts Should Be Washed As Soon As Possible After Every Session.
  7. Students Must Wear The Appropriate Belt Rank. 

NO GI UNIFORM POLICY

  1. Apparel/Equipment Must Be Free From Discriminatory, Derogatory, Overtly Suggestive Or Abusive Language/Imagery.
  2. No Gi Uniform Should Be Free From Hard Plastics And Metal.
  3. Pockets Must Be Stitched Shut On Shorts.
  4. Equipment/Apparel With Other Team Logos Cannot Be Worn In Regular Classes.
  5. Long Sleeve Rashguards Are Preferred But Not Mandatory.
  6. Spats And Shorts Should Be Predominately Black. 
  7. Leggings/Spats Must Reach The Ankle.
  8. Rashguards Must Be Predominately Black, White, Or Ranked. (Ranked Rashguards Must Reflect The Student’s Belt Colour.)
  9. Equipment Should Be In Good Repair: All Apparel Should Be Hygienic And Free From Rips/Tears.
  10. Male-Presenting Students Should Wear Shorts, Spats/Leggings, And A Rashguard. Female-Presenting Students May Choose To Wear Leggings Only.
  11. No Gi Uniform Should Be Washed As Soon As Possible After Every Session.
