If you want to have an effective guard game, you need to create layers of guards. The more layers you have the harder it will become to pass your guard. One of the last layers of guard you can have is the Deep Half Guard.
Deep Half Guard is a great position to attack your opponent from or recover to a different position. It also leaves you in a great passing position after sweeps as you typically end up in past the knee line when you get to top.
On Monday 2nd February, we have Dallas Niles coming to Escapology BJJ to teach a masterclass on his Deep Half Guard system.

In case you’ve never heard of Dallas, he’s a Black Belt under Rafael Lovato Jr. For a long time, Dallas was one of the main instructors at Lovato’s school in Oklahoma (where he taught Escapology instructor Alek Ryan). Dallas has become widely regarded as an expert on several positions one of which is the deep half guard.

The seminar will take place at 6:30 PM at Escapology BJJ in Cambridge, U.K. and is open to anyone of any level. The is cost FREE for unlimited Escapology Members, £20 for regular Escapology BJJ students and affiliates and £30 for people from other gyms.
